About Me

Welcome to my TL Handbook and website! Thank you for stopping by. I have just recently returned to teaching and am loving being back. I have taught many different grades in wide range of settings. I began my journey in 2004. I have spent time teaching in Australia, China, South Korea, Egypt, Alberta and British Columbia. In 2010 I decided to take a different direction in my career path and started working in the social work field. That journey eventually led me back to working with youth and eventually back into teaching. This year the layoff wheel landed me with a temporary position in a middle school library. After my first week on the job I knew I was home. I love the role. It can be very demanding, challenging and overwhelming at times but having the ability to work with the whole school and inspire young minds to want to read is very rewarding. Being in the Learning commons has given me access to the heart of the school and has given me a chance to work with all the students to provide a fun, creative and safe learning space!
